I was born in England and have lived there all my life except for three years in Cyprus and one year in the Maldive Islands during my Royal Air Force service. I am obviously a native speaker of English.

I am a retired Technical Author with experience of producing documentation for many types of commercial organisations.

I have also produced and run many classroom-based technical courses for several organisations throughout my working life.

I have City & Guilds of London qualifications in Technical Authorship and Communication of Technical Information; I also hold a TEFL qualification to teach English as a foreign or second language. I enjoy teaching English, and lately, I have been teaching English online to Ukrainian refugees, which has been very satisfying.

I only take on a small number of new students at a time, mainly on a one-to-one basis, so I can devote time to ensuring the students achieve their required level. However, I am flexible so I will consider other requests.
